Kindergarten students have started a constellation unit in STEM! They first learned about constellations, then used geoboards and other supplies to create their own constellations.
Our 3rd grade students are working on vocabulary with Flashcard Factory! In this activity, students draw a picture and write a sentence to match each word. #vanmeter
Van Meter High School students competed in District Large Group Speech over the weekend at Clarke High School. Four teams performed, and three teams earned a 1 rating to advance to state. These students will compete at the State Large Group Speech Contest at Waukee High School on Saturday, February 4. Great job, and good luck!
PBIS reward day for students in grades K-2. Students could earn tickets for following the Bulldog Beliefs, and the winning tickets were picked from the buckets. Todays prize was soccer in the wrestling room, more winners to come tomorrow!

Students in Mrs Sents Housing class toured and learned about the Brvington Mansion in Winterset. They have been studying housing styles through the decades and were able to learn about this home and the furnishings from the 1850s.

Students and directors had a chance to learn from professional stage managers, go on a tour of the backstage areas, and collaborate on how to use the information for our own shows.
