Recently, our 4th and 5th grade Girls Who Code Club wrapped up their final session, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything they accomplished! 👏 Over the past several weeks, these young coders explored the foundations of computer science, developed their problem-solving skills, and created their own projects. Along the way, they built a strong sense of sisterhood, supported each other through challenges, and celebrated taking risks together. We can’t wait to see where their coding journeys take them next!

Join us tonight for an evening of music and talent as the High School Band & Choir take the stage! 🎙️🎺🎶 The concert begins at 6:30pm in the South Gym. We hope to see you there!

Puppy Dog Relays are coming up soon! 🐶 Our TK and kindergarten students will compete on Thursday, May 8, while our 1st through 5th grade students will compete on Monday, May 12. It’s sure to be a fun event!

The Jazz Cafe is happening today, starting at 11:00am in the PAC. Our 7th-12th Grade Jazz Bands will be performing! 🎷🎼

Students in English III and AP Language & Composition participated in mock interviews today, April 23. Community volunteers interviewed the students, helping them learn about the job‑interview process, refine their speaking skills, and understand the importance of making a strong first impression. Thank you to our community leaders for supporting this initiative, and great work to all our students!

Mr. Rutter’s AP Biology class spent the morning at Des Moines’ Ape Initiative—one of only two facilities in the world devoted exclusively to bonobo research. From learning about and observing intricate social behaviors to chatting with scientists about experimental design and conservation challenges, our students saw real‑world biology in action and left inspired to protect these amazing primates!
