Van Meter Baseball is excited to host a Youth Baseball Camp on March 28 at the Van Meter Rec Fields. ⚾

Camp sessions are organized by grade level to provide age-appropriate instruction and development.

➡️ 6th and 7th grade: 10:00am to 12:00pm
➡️ 3rd-5th grade: 1:30 to 3:30pm

The cost is $40 per student, and registration includes a camp shirt.

Our Large Group Speech team had five groups compete at the district competition. Three of the five groups earned a 1 Rating, advancing to the state competition held on February 7 at Valley High School! 🎉

Our Radio Broadcasting team of Mason Bradley, Ace Harcey, and Brody Wiederholt was named “All-State” and will be celebrated at the All-State Large Group Festival in Ames on February 21. ⭐️

Congratulations to all of our Large Group Speech students on a successful season!

The TK and Kindergarten students had a lot of fun learning about the Olympics last week! They created and raced bobsleds with their buddies, worked together to make class flags, made Olympic hats to wear on Friday, and attended the Van Meter Opening Ceremonies. 🎿

Last Friday, 22 members of the VMSCC traveled to the Madison County Nature Center at Pammel State Park to meet with County Conservation staff and Madison County Soil and Water Conservation staff. Students toured the new center and learned more about the history of the area and several local conservation efforts.

Students also received wilderness inspiration and photography tips from nature photographer Tom Moss. After a packed lunch, the group hiked the Backbone Trail at Pammel State Park. 🌿
