Welcome to the Van Meter CSD website. My name is Adam Lamoureux and I serve as Secondary (6-12) Principal. Van Meter is a small community west of the metro. We have around 500 6-12 students. We are progressive district that offers students the opportunity to excel academically and get involved in numerous extracurricular activities.
Our continued mission is to personalize learning for all of our students. We want every student to excel both in the classroom and outside of school. We will continue to challenge students academically and provide them the necessary support to be successful. We encourage every student to participate in extracurricular activities and be involved. Our main goal is to produce a student centered community based on 21st century skills that promotes a personalized, self-directed learning environment. We utilize project-based and real-world applications that will empower our students to become effective communicators, collaborators, problem solvers and the ability to persevere.
