As Superintendent, I am incredibly proud to welcome you to the Van Meter Community School District. Located just west of the Des Moines metro, we are a progressive, tight-knit district of about 1,200 students—all learning and growing together in a single PK–12 building.

At Van Meter, we believe in a personalized approach to education in which we work to develop students who achieve academically, demonstrate grit, and strive to be good people. Our students consistently excel in the classroom, thrive in our award-winning arts and championship athletic programs, and gain real-world experience through our robust college and career partnerships.

Nationally recognized for innovation, we combine 1:1 technology with hands-on and project-based learning to give our students a competitive edge. No matter where our students' passions lie, we ensure they are prepared for success today and tomorrow.

Explore our website to find latest announcements, classroom resources, and ways to get involved. Please feel free to reach out or visit us in person to see what makes our community so special.

Go Dawgs!
