A request for proposal (RFP) or request for quote (RFQ) is a solicitation made through a bidding process to procure a service or valuable asset. The RFP or RFQ process brings structure to the decision-making process and helps to identify the risks and benefits upfront. Notice to Bidders: Roofing Project
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: Sealed bids for the Public Improvement Project titled “Van Meter Community School District 2024 Building Envelope Improvements Project” will be received by the Superintendent of the Van Meter Community School District at the District Office, 520 1st Avenue Van Meter, IA 50261 - before 1 P.M. C.S.T. (according to the designated clock in the District Office) on the Wednesday February 21st, 2024 at which time they will be publicly opened and read
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 A.M. on the Tuesday February 13th, 2024 at the Van Meter High School 520 1st Avenue Van Meter, IA 50261. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference is mandatory and specifications will be distributed at this meeting.
Bidders will be required to provide a security deposit in the form of an approved Bid Bond, cashiers or certified check, or certified share draft in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, including alternates, in a separate attached envelope. Bid security shall be made payable to the Van Meter Community School District. Performance Bond and Labor, Material and Payment Bond will be required by the successful bidder in the full amount of the contract. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after the date and hour set for receiving bids. To receive a set of specifications contact Brett Turner at 515-205- 8340.
The anticipated construction schedule is between May 23, 2024 – August 23, 2024
